2009 Rules for Signing Free Agents

Any player not on a roster at the conclusion of the draft, will automatically become a Free Agent,
and may be signed by any team at any time up to August 1st.
There will be four (4) open signing periods during spring training:

Wed Mar 04	Thu Mar 05	Fri Mar 06
Wed Mar 11	Thu Mar 12	Fri Mar 13
Wed Mar 18	Thu Mar 19	Fri Mar 20
Wed Mar 25	Thu Mar 26	Fri Mar 27

Each day, the opening signing period will run from 12:00am EST(9:00pmPST) thru 11:59:pm EST(8:59:pmPST).
Managers will be allowed to sign one (1) Free Agent each day, or, three (3) per week.
You will not be allowed to accumulate selections. In other words, if you do not select an FA on Wed or Thur,
you may not select three FA's on Friday.

Once the season starts, each Manager will be allowed to sign one (1) free agent per calendar week.
A calendar week commences at 00:00:01am(EST) on Monday morning, and runs thru 11:59:59pm(PST) Friday night.
There will be no Free Agent signings over the weekend.

All requests to sign FA's will be posted in the 2009 Free Agent Signings forum in the Oldtimers League Dugout.
First-come, first-served. Signings will not become "official" until approved by the Commissioner.
This is the same procedure we used last season.
