 | 5 Hits for Jackhammers Cochrane Thursday, September 23rd, 2010: History in the making. That's what the fans at Wrigley Field got to see today, when Jimtown outplayed the Wildcats 7-5. Mickey Cochrane of the Jackhammers came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Motown. In the postgame press conference the Motown skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." M. Cochrane singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Currently Cochrane has 12 home runs and a .303 batting average. |
