 | Hot Bat Cooled, Davis Hitless Against Evil Do'ers Saturday, September 25th, 2010: Ghosts of '69 triumphed over Glen Wilton today 6-3. However, that was not the whole story. Ghosts of '69 third baseman George Davis failed to get a hit for the first time in 24 games. Davis went hitless in 4 at-bats and had his streak broken. Commenting to reporters at his press conference, he said, "Some days the past few weeks I carried the club, today they carried me. No matter what, it is always good to win a ballgame." Davis is presently hitting at a .341 pace with 5 home runs, 81 RBIs and has scored 102 times. |
