 | Duffy's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Saturday, September 25th, 2010: An opposing pitcher told BNN after the Wallyworld-St. Louis game today, "Hugh Duffy is hitting everything you throw at him. He is one tough out. Fortunately things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a 10-3 win. But Duffy still continued his streak." The Browns shortstop now has hit safely in his last 20 games. He was 1-3 in today's contest. H. Duffy grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and walked in the 9th. In 157 games this season Duffy has batted at a .408 pace with 264 hits and 9 home runs. |
