 | Brett Batters Louisville Big Time Sunday, September 26th, 2010: Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Maquoketa's George Brett had a very special day against the Sluggers when everything came together for him. He really swung the bat with authority, getting 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, it was Louisville that picked up the victory. They topped the Mustangs 8-6 at Fenway Park. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Brett said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but the loss kinda put a damper on the day." Disappointed or not, he still gets his name written in the record books. G. Brett singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For 2010 Brett is batting .347 with 22 home runs, 101 RBIs and 114 runs scored. |
