 | Brett Earns AL Player of the Week Monday, September 27th, 2010: College View Diamonds third baseman George Brett walked away with the American League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Diamonds fans are really behind me right now," said the 31-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Brett batted .533 (16-30) with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs this week on his way to the award. In 2010 Brett is hitting .384, batted in 91 runs with 24 home runs and 123 runs scored. |
