Tuesday, September 28th, 2010: Ross Barnes put up some astounding numbers in 2010. When the smoke cleared, he had put up a scorching .409 average for the season. Barnes, 26, racked up 285 hits, including 60 doubles, 13 triples and 0 homers. He also chipped in 104 RBIs and scored 124 times.
"To hit .400, you have to block out a lot of stuff," said the Browns second baseman. "You can't let a slump get hold of you, you can't get tired of the press coverage, you have to be focused on every pitch. And you sometimes have to be a little lucky." | |
