 | Cross Slams 5 Hits for Cabrini Saturday, September 25th, 2010: "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Cabrini's Lave Cross told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turn out well for Cross today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Motown. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Green Acres knocked off the Wildcats 5-4 at Joe Robbie Stadium. L. Cross doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In 2010 Cross has produced 222 hits in 674 at-bats for a .329 average with 2 home runs and gotten on base at a .349 clip. |
