The Utah first baseman joined that elite group by hitting a jaw-dropping .438 this year. "To be mentioned among baseball's immortals," said Taylor, "is beyond my wildest dreams." Taylor's 300 hits included 42 doubles, 14 triples and 20 home runs. He also scored 130 runs and batted in 96. |
