| Lindstrom Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, September 25th, 2010: Oroville could care less about Freddie Lindstrom's hitting streak. All they care about is who won the game. The Padres manager told BNN, "Not to belittle his streak, but at the end of the day, the important thing is winning the game, not stopping a hitting streak."
Well, the Padres didn't stop Freddie Lindstrom today, but they won the game 6-2 over the Amazin' Mets. The Syracuse second baseman was 1-for-5 in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. F. Lindstrom grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
This year Lindstrom is hitting .346 with 201 hits, 11 home runs, 48 RBIs and has scored 98 runs. | |
