 | Sweeney Pitches Las Vegas to Shutout Win Saturday, September 25th, 2010: "He was kind of teasing them with his offspeed stuff and his fastball was moving everywhere," the Las Vegas skipper said after Charlie Sweeney shut out the Jimtown Jackhammers 7-0 on a 2-hit masterpiece. Sweeney registered 7 strikeouts and issued 2 walks in a gem of a performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well... or he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said the Jimtown manager after the defeat. To date Sweeney is 15-9 in 32 starts with a 3.82 ERA and has 200 strikeouts in 240.1 innings. |
