Bill Joyce homered and drove in three runs, George Brett had four hits, Joe Kelly had three hits and Bill Hamilton scored three runs as Wilmington goes to the 2007 OTL World Series with an 8-5 victory over Glen Wilton. Johnny Mize had three hits, and Willie Wells had two hits and two RBIs for the Evil Do'ers.


OROVILLE
Syracuse 9, Oroville 10

With two out and a runner at third in the bottom of the 8th, pinch-hitter Harmon Killebrew hit a sacrifice fly to right field scoring Sammy Hale, and the Oroville Padres advanced to the 2007 OTL World Series with a 10-9 win over the Syracuse Amazin' Mets. Roy Cullenbine and Jimmie Foxx homered, Foxx and George Wright each had three hits, and Wes Fisler drove in three runs for the Pads. Syracuse scored seven runs in the third inning, but couldn't hold on to the lead. Stan "The Man" Musial hit his fourth homerun of the playoffs, and Bill Terry had three hits for the Mets.
WILMINGTON
Glen Wilton 7, Wilmington 6
W: "Sunny Jim" Dygert

SV: George "Sassafrass" Winter
With two out and two on in the bottom of the 9th, Harvey Kuenn doubled down the rightfield line scoring Rogers Hornsby and Andre Thornton, giving Glen Wilton a 7-6 come-back win over Wilmington. There will be a Game 7 in the 2007 OTL ALCS. Kuenn had two hits and three RBIs to lead the Evil Do'ers. Jimmy Ryan went 4-for-4 and drove in two runs for the Powerhouse.

SYRACUSE
Oroville 11, Syracuse 6
W: Eddie "Knuckles" Cicotte

SV: None
In a matchup of Game 1 starters, Eddie Cicotte this time prevailed over Silver King, as Oroville downed Syracuse 11-6. Terry Pendleton had three hits including a homerun, Babe Phelps went 4-for-4 and George Wright also had three hits for the Padres. Tony Gwynn, Stan Musial and Bill Terry all had three hits each for the Amazin' Mets. Gwynn and Musial both hit homeruns off Warren Hacker in the 9th inning.
GLEN WILTON
Wilmington 6, Glen Wilton 3
W: Billy "Bunker" Rhines
L: Lefty Grove
SV: Joe Sambito
Billy Rhines pitched 6-hit ball into the 8th inning, and Wilmington topped Glen Wilton 6-3. Billy Hamilton, Gabby Hartnett and Tom Daly all had two hits each, and Joe Kelly drove in a pair of runs for the Powerhouse. Mel Ott had two hits and scored twice for the Evil Do'ers.


SYRACUSE
Oroville 6, Syracuse 10

Ray Blades and Joe Cronin stroked homeruns, and Blades and Smokey Burgess had three hits apiece, as Syracuse evened up the NLCS with a 10-6 victory over Oroville. Jimmie Foxx homered, and George Wright went 4-for-4 for the Padres.
GLEN WILTON
Wilmington 16, Glen Wilton 12(15)

Seven hours and twenty-seven minutes later, in a game that saw forty-eight hits and twenty-eight runs, Wilmington finally came out on top with a 16-12 win over Glen Wilton. Bill Joyce and Bill Dickey had four hits apiece, and Jocko Milligan and Freddie Lindstrom each had three hits for the Powerhouse. For the Evil Do'ers, Andre Thornton had four hits including a homerun, Ricky Henderson had four hits and scored three runs, Willie Wells had three hits including a homerun and four RBIs, and Rogers Hornsby also had three hits.

SV: Dennis Eckersley
Roger Nelson pitched six innnings of 3-hit ball, Harry Walker and Babe Phelps had two hits apiece, and Oroville got by Syracuse 5-2. Tony Gwynn homered for the Amazin' Mets. The Padres lead the NLCS two games to one.

With runners at first and third and no outs in the bottom of the 9th, Rogers Hornsby beat out an infield hit scoring Willie Wells from third, giving Glen Wilton a 4-3 win over Wilmington. Wells had two hits and drove in two runs to lead the Evil Do'ers. George Brett went deep for the Powerhouse. GW leads the ALCS two games to one.

Syracuse scored three runs in the top of the first, Oroville responded by scoring four runs in the bottom of the first, and the Padres held on to edge the Amazin' Mets 6-5. George Wright had three hits, and Babe Phelps drove in a pair of runs for the Padres. Rafael Palmeiro hit a 2-run homerun for the Mets.

L: Billy "Bunker" Rhines
SV: None
Rogers Hornsby homered and drove in four runs, Mel Ott homered and drove in two runs, and Glen Wilton swamped Wilmington 12-0. Ed Karger pitched eight innings of shutout ball for the Do'ers. Joe Kelly and Jimmy Ryan each had two hits for the Powerhouse.


OROVILLE
Syracuse 3, Oroville 1
W: Silver King
L: Eddie Cicotte
SV: Randy Myers
Smokey Burgess had three hits, and Sy Sutcliff drove in two runs with a double, as Syracuse downed Oroville 3-1 in the opening game of the OTL NLCS. Silver King won his second game of the 2007 Playoffs for the Amazin' Mets. George Stone had two hits and drove in the lone Padre run.
WILMINGTON
Glen Wilton 5, Wilmington 8

In the first game of the OTL's 2007 ALCS, Gabby Hartnett's 3-run homerun in the bottom of the 7th proved to the game-winning hit, as Wilmington went on to an 8-5 win over Glen Wilton. Bill Sweeney had three hits and an RBI for the Powerhouse. Woody English went 3-for-3 and drove in two runs for the Evil Do'ers.
