The 36-year-old veteran compiled a .358 average and .498 on-base percentage by putting together 169 hits, 12 doubles, 1 triple, 81 home runs and 105 walks. He also scored 176 times and drove in 219 runs. | | ND Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Announced Saturday, September 25th, 2010: The spotlight today is on Dizzy Trout of the Vista Red Sox. He was named the top pitcher in the National Division and will be honored with the 2010 Outstanding Pitcher Award.
Trout compiled an impressive 25-3 won-lost mark to capture this year's honor. In 241.2 innings of work and 28 starts, the Red Sox star struck out 289, while giving up 173 hits and 58 walks.
