The champion has been crowned and the winners sent home to decorate their trophy cases. The fans have been left with many exciting memories to recall over the offseason. League awards will be announced over the coming weeks, but while players head for vacations and the ballparks are empty, there is plenty going on behind the scenes.
The offseason is a time for baseball's front office gurus to turn their attention to getting key players under contract, making key financial decisions and for laying the groundwork for next year's campaign.
